Ok, so I decided to break out of my blogger shell today and stop only putting up pictures and actually start blogging about something, today will be a brief re-cap of a realization that I've had.  Life is probably the single hardest, most frustrating and inconvenient thing anyone will ever have to handle.  However, there are things happening in my life as of late that have caused me to recoil and damn near throw out everything I have ever learned about living life and everything I thought I had already mastered... My best friend Michael Biddle was taken from the world, unexpectidly and unfairly on October 18, 2010;  Whereas this is by far the worst experience I could have ever imagined, I've noticed things starting to happen...  Friends coming together, people taking five minutes out of their busy lives to just stop and say "hey, hows it going?"...I've noticed unity, I've noticed love.  I have also noticed that in times of desperation people turn to those they trust most. Lately, I have been told things by those closest to me that keep me up at night, I have been entrusted with ideas, thoughts and beliefs that make me cringe at the very thought.  I have seen and heard grown men, young adults, etc. break down and cry right before my eyes.  And as I sit here typing this personal thought to post out for all to read, I myself am in tears, histerics and over what?  The loss of a friend?  The idea that I may be a failure?  The thought of being alone?  I honestly could not tell you... What I can tell you is this, I used to believe life was too short to care about anything, and in some ways I am entirely correct. Life is too short to care about how much money you have, what brand of clothing you wear;  Life is too short to worry about what that guy or that girl may think of you when they see you, it is too short to be caught up in asking the haunting question "what if..."  But what I have come to realize is this... Life is not too short to help a friend, it is not too short to send an e-mail or text message asking how someones' day went; Life is not too short to tell someone that you love them and would do anything for them and it is never too late to back that up...  and Life is NOT too short to change, if anything, we were given a life just long enough to figure out what to do with our time here.  And finally, Life is not too short to answer that ever-lingering question "what if..."  I know it is easier said than done, but if you have dreams and/or people who care, even if it's just enough to pretend that they believe in you, then go for it (whatever "it" may be), or at least try, that way when your time comes you can look everyone in the eye and tell them you did everything you wanted and in place of regrets, you'll have something more along the lines of attempted triumphs or successes that didn't go quite as well as planned  ...
